INTRODUCING: Bryan Turner and the limit of life’s value

Is existence valuable in and of itself? Historically, the medical profession has always aimed at saving life no matter what the cost. However, as life extending technologies become more sophisticated, the ethical implications of such a value system become increasingly troublesome. Bryan Turner joined us to talk about the threats to human equality such technology is already unveiling.

Bryan Turner is the Presidential Professor of Sociology at The CUNY Graduate Center and Director of the Mellon Committee for the Study of Religion.
